January 2018 – One of the most prolific angel investors in the world, Gil Penchina, leads a $2.5 million investment into Argo.

Gil Penchina  is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and cryptocurrency expert, known worldwide for his involvement and leadership in the cryptocurrency industry.  Two successful ICO’s in Brave (BAT) and Ripple (XRP), running the largest syndicate on AngelList and an early investor in LinkedIn, Wealthfront, Indiegogo, Fastly, Vouch, Blockstream, UXPin, and many more.  Gil remains at the forefront of blockchain technology as an active investor in  cryptocurrency.

Gill is also a co-founder of Fastly. Prior to his life as an angel investor, he was the CEO of Wikia, one of the internet’s top 50 web properties, and the former VP of Business Development for eBay.

Argo is set to be the first company to be listed on the London Stock Exchange in June 2018.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Mike Edwards has started and invested in technology companies for over 20 years. He has invested in more than 40 technology startups including Punch’d, which sold to Google, Summify, which was acquired by Twitter, Wander which was acquired by Yahoo, AreaConnect, with sold to Marchex, Wylie Interactive, which was acquired by Zynga, and Passwordbox, which was acquired by Intel.  Mike is actively involved in growing and supporting the cryptocurrency startup community and connecting local entrepreneurs with the right investors, mentors and influencers in Silicon Valley, New York, Europe and Asia.

Jonathan Bixby is a serial entrepreneur, active angel investor, board member, and speaker. Jonathan has helped raise over $100M in venture capital and been involved in over 10 successful exits. In addition to his investing efforts, Jonathan has been active in the crypto world since 2012 as an investor and entrepreneur. He was previously an entrepreneur-in-residence at Vancouver-based startup accelerator GrowLab, prior to which, he was the CEO and cofounder of both Strangeloop Networks acquired by Radware (RDWR) and IronPoint acquired by the Active Network (ACTV). Awards include ‘Vancouver Top 40 Under 40 award’.


Argo have built a data centre that runs off cheap, green hydro-power and will sustain mining at scale.  It is located in Quebec, one of the world’s largest crypto-mining hubs, favoured for keeping servers cool in it’s ideally cold climate.

For a monthly subscription fee, it provides miners with the opportunity to tap into its infrastructure and mine for currencies themselves.
