Founded in 2014, Veem Inc. has developed blockchain solutions for small and medium sized businesses to send cross-border payments without needing to go through the bank, avoiding their lengthy and costly processes.

Veem’s platform utilises ledger technology to allow businesses to send and receive payments in local currency worldwide. Its platform enables companies and contractors/freelancers to send and receive domestic and global business payments, track payments in real time, and mass upload. Using blockchain as a payment rail, it converts the sender’s funds into bitcoin, selling the digital currency at an exchange for the desired currency of the recipient.

The company also offers a multi-rail application programming interface (API) for international payments using blockchain technologies.

MARWAN FORZLEY – Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Co-founder of Veem, Marwan Forzley is respected as an expert in alternative payments, he founded MODASolutions Corporation in 2002 and served as the President and CEO, later changing its name to eBillme Inc., which he successfully sold to Western Union 2011. Prior to that, Forzley served as Director of Business Development at Nokia, where he focused on large-scale e-commerce infrastructure, mobile payments and content delivery. He also held several product/solution management roles at ViennaSystems. Forzley is also founder and first chair of the Ottawa e-Business Cluster and the Ottawa Wireless Cluster.
